Around the World in 26 Meals: It is Finish
Happy New Year to anyone reading!
Just a very quick update on my previous quick update - the cooking is all finished, my final meal for this project was done on the 30th of December.
After managing to avoid it for so long I did finally get COVID-19, fortunately a very mild case aside from the fatigue (which is a problem I have anyway), but it did necessitate some downscaling of my plans. When the post eventually arrives it’ll probably be clear what these are.
I’m still not out of the woods yet with it so, aside from finishing up a post on another section of the site that’s about 80% there, don’t expect anything more in the near future. I want to relax and get well first. But, obviously, the next step for this food blog are to write up posts 15 onwards, from Hunan to my final late-December project.
Whenever that’s done I do have something planned, for six months with one post a month. Unfortunately these posts were expensive both in time and money and with the UK’s current energy crisis it’d be unwise for me to commit to anything like the scale of what I did in 2021. But hopefully it’d still be fun, some friends already know what is planned but I’ll keep it under my hat for now on this site.
I hope 2022 is as good a year as it can be for everyone reading, and at least 2021 wasn’t 2020!
(And as a quick edit - January the 3rd is the anniversary of cooking the very first food for this blog.)
